ATD008 Boiler House & Chimney Card Kit
This kit is inspired by a boiler house that was situated on a once extensive mill based in the heart of Derbyshire. Built in the early 1800's, it originally served a manufacturer of knitting machinery. Sadly the chimney was demolished in the late 1980's, however much of the original site still stands and has been divided into smaller units.
Aside from the finely detailed textures, there are several eye-catching features to this kit. The multi-layered construction adds depth to the build, particularly around the window and door apertures. In addition, the multi-layered approach ensures the interior is kept neat, enabling modellers to add internal furnishings. The octagonal chimney ensures it's like no other on the market. More subtle details include opening doors and internal components such as roof trussing.
Overall, the Boiler House is ideal for creating both heritage and modern image industrial scenes. The kit is part of a three piece collection that includes the ATD006 Textile Mill and ATD007 Textile Workshop.
